Humans are wired to crave connection, belonging and will find ways to grow and explore, but we are also prone to sticking to what’s familiar because it feels safe.

Settling, buffering, swallowing and denying the way things are just because things are easy or “good enough”, will eventually lead to you emotionally checking out, resenting those around you and living with regret.

Melanie is the real deal. Mel has lived experience of love, loss, grief and has learnt how to get back up with every knock down life has thrown at her. She spent her ‘Decade of Disaster’ swallowing and buffering her grief and then made the conscious decision to stand up and tell her story ‘Let’s Rethink Our Approach to Grief’ at TEDx Canberra 2017. What that moment created was a renewed determination to reclaim her life and deliver on her true purpose.

Collective Wisdom is the formulation of decades of learning, work and reflection coming together to serve and support women. Mel holds a Bachelor of Youth Work, has undertaken a Certificate IV in Life Coaching specialising in mental health and wellbeing and managing personal transitions including grief and loss.

She has worked with people from all walks of life for the last 25 years and has done so with respect, honesty, and compassion. What she’s learnt is that the human experience is universal. That it doesn’t matter how we live our lives; we are all impacted by the full range of human emotions. When Mel works with women, she hears countless versions of the same story involving self-doubt, a lack of confidence and personal exhaustion, she knows it too and has created Collective Wisdom Coaching and Consulting to help herself as much as she helps others find their true alignment.

Introduction Module

Let’s Get Started Module

You may not realize it yet, but you’ve been programmed not to show up for yourself. In this introduction module, we uncover why, as women, we so frequently deny ourselves our right to serve ourselves. It’s not the voice of ‘reason’ that’s stopping you – it’s your primitive brain and old programming trying to keep you safe. In this module Mel will introduce you to the Collective Wisdom Coaching Learning Framework to help guide your change journey.

Module 1

The Science of Making Change

In this module, you’ll learn more about the science behind managing your mind. Mel will guide you to understand the essential elements you need to ignite your change journey. This module is designed to help you truly understand what’s possible, what’s in your heart and what you really want! Most of us feel it is our role to be the realistic one, the practical one, the caring one, but telling yourself this pushes you towards settling and doesn’t empower you – it doesn’t inspire you to aim high, to explore possibilities, or to create the relationship you truly want with yourself. It’s time to finally put yourself first without the never-ending cycles of guilt, shame, and blame.

Module 2

The Art of Being Human

In this module, you’ll gain insight into some of the common traps we fall into that keep us stuck and feeling lost in our own lives. Our brain and mind are naturally designed to keep us safe and comfortable, but the truth is: often that means living with self-doubt. Our self-doubt impacts our relationships with ourselves and the people we care about. The amazing news is that you can take back the power over your mind… and I’m going to show you how to hack the system and do just that!

Module 3

The Art of Making Change

This module is all about understanding the art of making change. Taking action for yourself can feel uncertain and uncomfortable but the reward is finding your purpose, getting clarity, and making new choices in life. Even if you think you already have clarity on your purpose, you can use what Mel teaches you to go to the next level. We’re all constantly reinventing ourselves and nothing we do is permanent.
